QServices is a mobile app development company serving Vancouver businesses in tech, real estate, film/media, and mining. We are based in India, not British Columbia, and we work with BC clients on remote engagements with Pacific Time hours built into our delivery schedule. See our full services overview.
Vancouver's economy spans industries with distinct app requirements. Based on the projects we scope with BC clients, demand tends to cluster this way:
If your app handles investor data or securities transactions, BC Securities Commission requirements may apply. We flag those implications at scoping, not after the codebase is built.
Vancouver runs on Pacific Time. Our team operates on India Standard Time, which is UTC+5:30. The gap is 12.5 hours during daylight saving (PDT) and 13.5 hours in winter (PST). That is a real scheduling constraint, and we do not pretend otherwise.
Our solution is structural: sprint reviews and standups are scheduled at 8:00 AM PT, which is 9:30 PM IST for our team. We maintain an extended working window for North American accounts, so Vancouver clients get a live touchpoint at the start of their workday. Everything else runs async: recorded sprint demo videos delivered after each sprint, written Friday status reports, and a shared project board updated daily.
Code reviews happen in GitHub pull requests with written comments, so your in-house team can review and respond on their own schedule. We use Teams or Slack, whichever your organization already runs. On-site visits to Vancouver are available for major milestone reviews and are quoted separately from the project fee.
Our Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) governance model means a named QServices lead signs off on every release decision. There is always a clear accountability chain, not just a distributed team you can't reach at 10 AM on a Tuesday.
We have not built apps for Vancouver mining or film/media companies. Our closest mobile delivery is in financial technology, which overlaps with Vancouver's tech sector.
We built a mobile payment platform for SomBank in Somalia using React Native, Azure B2C, Azure Service Bus, and an Ocelot API Gateway. The app reached 100,000 downloads with a 4.8-star rating on launch and became the first digital payment platform in a predominantly cash-based economy, supporting P2P transfers, merchant QR payments, and international remittances.

We also built Chikwama, a digital wallet app using Xamarin Forms and ASP.NET Web API with SignalR for real-time transaction updates. The project introduced digital peer-to-peer transfers and QR-code merchant payments in a previously cash-dependent market.

Neither project was in Canada, but both involved regulated financial data, cross-platform mobile delivery, and compliance-first architecture from day one. The same approach applies to PIPA BC projects in Vancouver's real estate or tech sectors.
Our rates are quoted in USD. Here is how project scope maps to cost for a typical mobile engagement:
Add 15 to 25 percent for PIPA BC compliance work if the app collects personal information from British Columbia residents. Each non-trivial third-party integration adds USD $3,000 to $12,000. Timelines run 12 to 20 weeks from signed scope to store submission. See our full mobile app development pricing breakdown for a line-item guide.
Three steps from first contact to project start:
Yes. We have no office in Vancouver or British Columbia. We work with BC-based clients entirely remotely under a signed services agreement that includes data handling obligations consistent with PIPA BC. Our team runs a live standup at 8:00 AM PT each workday, which is the primary coordination window for Vancouver clients. We use Teams or Slack for async communication. On-site visits to Vancouver for milestone reviews are available and quoted separately.
