QServices is a remote-first Microsoft Solutions Partner serving Vancouver companies in tech, real estate, film/media, and mining on Azure AI Foundry projects. We are India-based, not headquartered in Vancouver, and maintain Pacific Time hours overlap for client collaboration.
Vancouver's tech sector, from SaaS companies and AI startups to enterprise software firms, typically needs production-grade AI applications that go well beyond simple API wrappers. Across Vancouver's primary industries, the specific needs vary:
PIPA BC is provincially governed, separate from PIPEDA at the federal level. Any project handling employee records, client data, or financial information for BC residents needs data architecture scoped to this from the start. For companies subject to the BC Securities Commission, additional controls around data access and audit logging apply. We scope both into the architecture document before a line of code is written.
Our engineering team is based in India, operating on IST (UTC+5:30). Vancouver runs on PT: UTC-8 in winter, UTC-7 in summer. That puts us 13.5 hours apart in winter and 12.5 hours apart in summer. We do not pretend that gap does not exist.
In practice, our engineers are available from 7pm to 11pm IST, which maps to 5:30am to 9:30am PT in winter. That window covers a daily standup at 8am PT and leaves time for questions before your team's afternoon. You submit pull requests or questions in your afternoon; they are reviewed before your next morning starts.
Week-to-week rhythm:
On-site visits to Vancouver are possible for major milestones if the project warrants it. Most clients settle into the async-first model within the first sprint once the cadence is established.
We have not delivered a project for a Vancouver-headquartered company yet and will not claim otherwise. The closest relevant work is in the tech and SaaS sector, which maps directly to Vancouver's primary industry.
For an IT services company, we built a Smart PM Assistant Bot on Azure AI Foundry. The system pulls meeting transcripts via the Fireflies.ai API, creates backlog items in Azure DevOps with Fibonacci story point assignment, and tracks sprint capacity, feeding real-time Power BI dashboards that replaced manual meeting note capture and task allocation entirely. Stack: Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, Azure DevOps API, Microsoft Graph API, Power Automate, Power BI.

Automated meeting transcript capture and backlog creation in Azure DevOps with Fibonacci story point assignment and sprint capacity tracking
Real-time Power BI sprint velocity dashboards replacing manual meeting note capture and task allocation
For an enterprise software company, we built an Enterprise Knowledge Management Bot on Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry, using GPT-4o and Azure AI Search. The result was accurate responses across both document-specific queries and broader general knowledge from a single unified assistant.
Enterprise software company
Accurate, prompt responses for both document-specific queries and broader general knowledge questions from a unified AI assistant
Both engagements are in the tech/SaaS vertical that anchors Vancouver's economy. If your use case is in real estate, film/media, or mining, we will tell you plainly what experience we have in those verticals during the discovery call.
Azure AI Foundry projects at QServices are scoped between USD $25,000 and $120,000. Billing is in US dollars; any CAD conversion is handled on your end.
For BC-regulated companies, add 15 to 20 percent for PIPA BC compliance documentation and data architecture review. Each non-trivial system integration adds USD $3,000 to $12,000. Azure consumption costs are separate from our fees and are frequently underestimated on first Foundry projects. We include a consumption estimate in every scoping document.

Yes. We have no Vancouver office and handle all client work remotely. Our team maintains PT hours overlap, with engineers available from 5:30am to 9:30am PT in winter, for standups and same-day responses during your morning.
For British Columbia clients, data residency is handled using Azure Canada Central or Azure Canada East regions, depending on your data classification requirements. We document data flows and residency decisions in the initial architecture review. PIPA BC compliance scoping is part of our standard onboarding for Canadian clients. If your firm is subject to BC Securities Commission oversight, we treat that as an additional compliance layer from the architecture phase.
Communication tools: Microsoft Teams is our default for Azure-ecosystem clients, with Slack as an alternative.
