Your options
Cloud, sustaining support, wait or move.
Third-party support barely exists for Epicor: neither Rimini Street nor Spinnaker Support lists it, as of October 2026. So the real choice is between these four.

FAQ
What Epicor customers ask about 2029.
Who supports Epicor on-prem after 2029?
Epicor itself, on sustaining support: limited phone help, the knowledge base and the latest release, but no security updates and no investigation of new issues. It starts on 1 July 2029 for Prophet 21 and 1 January 2030 for Kinetic. Independent third-party support for Epicor is very limited.
Is Epicor 10 the same as Kinetic?
Kinetic is the current generation of what was Epicor 10, with a new browser interface. Upgrading converts the system, but custom BPM code, classic screens, dashboards and old integrations usually need work.
What happens to my Epicor BPMs when I upgrade?
Standard BPMs carry over. Custom code inside them can break, because the conversion renames tt table references to ds, including variables that only happen to start with tt. Test every custom BPM before go-live.
What AI does Epicor offer?
Epicor Prism, its agent platform, went live in the UK and Europe in June 2026, and new AI features ship in Epicor's cloud only. For on-premises systems or work Epicor doesn't cover, custom agents can work through REST API v2.
How much does an Epicor upgrade cost?
Epicor doesn't publish upgrade or cloud migration pricing. The cost depends on custom BPMs, SQL-based integrations and reports, dashboards and data volume. We price each phase after a two-week assessment.
How do I choose an Epicor consultant?
Ask how they'll find custom BPM code that breaks on conversion, how they'll rebuild SQL-based integrations for the cloud, what they'll test before each cloud update, and whether they're paid to recommend a particular path.
