Dynamics 365 is only as smart as the ERP data behind it.
Sellers and service reps need live stock, prices, credit and invoice status from the ERP, and won orders need to reach the ERP without retyping. QServices, a Microsoft Solutions Partner, connects Dynamics 365 Sales and Customer Service to Business Central, Dynamics GP, SYSPRO, Epicor, Sage and SAP Business One, and sets up Microsoft's agents with a person signing off.
Business Central and Microsoft's Finance and Supply Chain apps have Microsoft-built paths into Dataverse. Everything else connects through an integration layer.
Customers, items, price lists, opportunities and posted invoices sync on a schedule (every 30 minutes by default). Microsoft says that isn't real time, so live stock and credit come through virtual tables or the Business Central API.
Map the standard tables, then add virtual tables for anything a seller needs live.
Dual-write gives near-real-time, two-way sync between Dataverse and the finance and operations apps. It doesn't cover Business Central.
Agree which system owns customers and products before switching maps on.
There is no Microsoft-built sync, and GP support ends on 31 December 2029. Many GP sites plan the Business Central move first.
Decide the ERP timeline before building a long-term sync.
The ERP's own API on one side, Dataverse's standard OData API on the other, with queues and retries in between.
Start with won orders to the ERP and credit status back.
Microsoft's agents run on Copilot Credits. Several can act on their own, so we set them up in the mode that keeps a person in the loop.
| Agent | What it does | How we run it |
|---|---|---|
| Sales Qualification Agent | Researches leads, checks fit and drafts outreach; can send emails in 'research and engage' mode | Research-only first, so a seller sends every email |
| Sales Opportunity Agent | Pulls CRM, email, meeting and web data together to flag deal risk | Advisory: it changes nothing on its own |
| Case Management Agent | Creates, updates, resolves and closes cases | Semi-autonomous: a rep approves every resolution and email |
| Customer Knowledge Management Agent | Turns resolved cases into knowledge articles | Articles start as Pending until a reviewer approves |
| Business Central Sales Order Agent | Reads customer emails and creates a quote first, then an order on confirmation | A designated user approves every outgoing email |
From Microsoft Learn, October 2026. Sales Close Agent can't be created from 30 September 2026 and is removed on 30 October 2026; Microsoft points to the Sales Development agent in Agent 365 instead.

Yes, through Dataverse: customers, contacts, items, price lists, opportunities, posted invoices and, optionally both ways, sales orders. It runs on a schedule, so for live stock and credit we use Business Central virtual tables or its API.
No. Dual-write is for Microsoft's Finance and Supply Chain Management apps. Business Central uses its own Dataverse integration and virtual tables.
There's no Microsoft-built sync, so we connect them through Power Automate, Logic Apps or a small service on the Dataverse Web API, with queues and retries. GP support ends on 31 December 2029, so GP sites often move to Business Central first.
The Qualification Agent researches leads and drafts outreach, the Opportunity Agent flags deal risk, the Case Management Agent handles cases, and the Knowledge Management Agent drafts articles from resolved cases. We run them in the modes where a person approves.
They use Copilot Credits: $200 for a pack of 25,000 a month, or $0.01 per credit pay-as-you-go. A generative answer costs 2 credits and an agent action 5.
It can at volume. Dataverse allows 6,000 requests per user per 5 minutes and Dynamics 365 users get 40,000 requests a day. We batch requests and use a dedicated integration account so sellers aren't slowed down.
