QServices is a Microsoft Copilot Studio development company serving Berlin clients in Tech, FinTech, and Manufacturing. We are India-based, not Berlin-based, with four to five hours of CET morning overlap every working day. See all our services.

What Berlin buyers typically need from Microsoft Copilot Studio

Berlin's Tech, FinTech, and Manufacturing sectors each bring distinct requirements to a Copilot Studio engagement:

BaFin-regulated firms face requirements beyond GDPR: AI tools used in customer-facing financial flows may require a documented model risk management process. We scope for this before configuration begins and include the documentation as a delivery artifact. For more on how this applies to financial services, see our Copilot Studio for FinTech page.

How we work with Berlin clients

Our team works from India on IST (UTC+5:30). Berlin runs on CET in winter (UTC+1) and CEST in summer (UTC+2), which puts us three-and-a-half to four-and-a-half hours ahead. In practice, Berlin's morning from 9 AM to 1 PM CET falls entirely within our afternoon. We schedule the daily standup at 9:30 AM CET, which lands at 3 PM IST in winter and 2 PM IST in summer, a workable slot for both sides without early starts or late finishes for either party.

Day-to-day, we keep a shared Slack channel open during the overlap window and use Microsoft Teams for sprint reviews and demos. Code reviews are prepared overnight Berlin time and are ready when the client opens their laptop in the morning. Async status updates go out at the close of our day so Berlin has a written summary before their afternoon.

For milestone reviews at end of scoping, end of sprint 2, and pre-launch, we run extended two-hour sessions on Teams. On-site visits to Berlin are available for significant milestones on larger engagements, arranged on request. Routine delivery does not require them.

On data residency: we configure Copilot Studio against Azure OpenAI instances in EU regions, specifically West Europe (Netherlands) or Germany North (Hamburg), which keeps all processed data within the EU and satisfies the GDPR cross-border transfer restrictions that apply to German clients. See our Microsoft Copilot Studio pricing guide for full cost breakdowns.

Relevant work in similar markets

We have not delivered a project in Berlin or Germany. The closest completed work to Berlin's primary industries is in financial services and e-commerce automation.

For Melegacy, an investment and legacy management platform, we built a Microsoft Copilot Studio chatbot that pulls ML-powered stock predictions from Nasdaq historical data and presents investment recommendations based on a user's stated amount. The same copilot handles legacy sharing with nominees and charity management in a single flow. Melegacy sits in wealth management, directly adjacent to the BaFin-regulated FinTech segment central to Berlin's tech economy.

We also built an automated customer support copilot for an Italian e-commerce retailer, connecting Copilot Studio to Shopify APIs and Power Automate. The result was a significant reduction in manual query handling for real-time order status and inventory responses. Manufacturing firms in Berlin that run direct-sales channels face a structurally identical automation pattern.

Neither case study is from Berlin or Germany. If direct local experience is a procurement requirement, we would rather state that plainly than suggest otherwise.

What Copilot Studio costs for a typical Berlin project

Engagements are priced in USD. Typical brackets for a Copilot Studio build:

GDPR compliance scoping adds 15 to 20 percent to any bracket above. This covers data classification, grounding-source access controls, and audit logging. BaFin-adjacent projects with model risk documentation requirements add a further $5,000 to $10,000. Both are itemized explicitly in the scoping document. EUR conversion applies at the invoice date exchange rate.

Ongoing maintenance retainers run $2,000 to $4,000 per month and cover model updates, grounding-source refreshes, and minor feature additions.

How to start working with us

Three steps:

  1. Discovery call (30 minutes). We ask about your industry, the systems the copilot needs to connect to, your GDPR obligations, and any BaFin requirements. You leave with a clear sense of scope and timeline.
  2. Scoping document (5 business days). Written scope covering architecture, data flow, compliance controls, timeline, and a fixed-fee or time-and-materials budget.
  3. Project start. After sign-off we onboard your team to the shared project space and sprint one begins within one week.

Can you work with Berlin companies remotely?

Yes, all our Berlin engagements run fully remote. We have no office in Berlin. The four-to-five-hour CET morning overlap means anything raised at the start of the Berlin workday gets a response before lunch.

We use Microsoft Teams for demos and reviews, Slack for daily async, and GitHub for version control. For data residency, we configure Azure OpenAI and Dataverse in EU regions (West Europe or Germany North) so data does not leave the EU. For BaFin-regulated firms we include AI model decision boundaries and escalation paths in the delivery documentation. BaFin outlines current AI-in-finance expectations that we design against, and the EU GDPR regulation text is the authoritative reference for data residency obligations.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have an office in Berlin? +
No, we do not. QServices is a remote-first consultancy based in India. We work with Berlin clients in Tech, FinTech, and Manufacturing on fully remote engagements. Our team covers Berlin's morning hours, 9 AM to 1 PM CET, from India, so you get same-day responses on anything raised at the start of your working day.
What is the time difference between Berlin and your team? +
Berlin runs on CET (UTC+1) in winter and CEST (UTC+2) in summer. Our team works from India on IST (UTC+5:30), putting us three-and-a-half to four-and-a-half hours ahead. A 9:30 AM CET standup falls at 2 to 3 PM IST, a workable slot for both sides with no early starts or late finishes for either party.
Have you worked with companies in Germany before? +
Not yet. Our closest work in adjacent markets is for Melegacy, an investment and legacy management platform built on Microsoft Copilot Studio, and an Italian e-commerce retailer. If prior German client experience is a procurement requirement, that is the honest answer. We carry the technical and compliance expertise; the Germany-specific client history is not yet there.
How do you handle GDPR and data residency requirements for German clients? +
We configure Copilot Studio and Azure OpenAI against EU-region endpoints, typically Germany North (Hamburg) or West Europe (Netherlands), so data does not leave the EU. During scoping we define grounding-source access controls, audit logging, and data classification. BaFin-regulated firms also receive AI model decision boundary documentation as a delivery artifact.
What industries do you serve in the Berlin market? +
Our Copilot Studio work is most relevant to Berlin's Tech, FinTech, and Manufacturing sectors. FinTech firms under BaFin get compliance-aware copilots with model risk documentation. Tech companies get help-desk and onboarding automation wired into Microsoft 365. Manufacturing firms get ERP-connected copilots for operational queries. We do not claim Berlin-specific industry experience beyond what the case studies above demonstrate.
