QServices is not based in Manchester, but we work with Manchester clients across Tech, Manufacturing, and Media on remote engagements with GMT morning hours of daily overlap. We are a remote-first software consultancy serving UK businesses in AI agent development, built on Microsoft Azure AI Foundry and Copilot Studio.
Manchester's three main sectors each generate distinct automation problems that AI agents address well:
UK GDPR governs all personal data processing across these sectors. Any AI agent handling employee records, customer data, or supplier contracts must have a documented lawful basis, minimise data collection, and support subject rights including access, erasure, and portability. We build UK GDPR requirements into the design phase, not as a retrofit after launch. The ICO is the UK's data protection regulator, and we align our data handling documentation to their published guidance on AI and automated decision-making.
Most Manchester projects also involve integrating with existing Microsoft 365 or Azure infrastructure, which is where our status as a Microsoft Solutions Partner matters in practice rather than just on paper.
Manchester is GMT (UTC+0). Our engineering team works IST (UTC+5:30), a 5.5-hour gap. Daily overlap runs 9am to 1pm GMT, which corresponds to 2:30pm to 6:30pm IST. Morning standups happen at 9:30am GMT, sprint reviews land in that same window, and async updates in Teams or Slack arrive before your afternoon starts.
We use Azure DevOps for all sprint tracking, so your team has full visibility into what shipped each day without needing to be in a meeting to find out. Code reviews run in GitHub or Azure Repos with written commentary, not just approvals. Fortnightly demos are recorded and shared with any stakeholders who cannot attend live.
For larger engagements above approximately £30,000, we can arrange on-site visits in Manchester for design sign-off or UAT review. For most projects, a structured video cadence is sufficient. The absence of a local office has not been a problem for clients who value documentation and async discipline over physical presence.
We have not yet delivered a project for a Manchester-based client, so we will not claim otherwise. The closest work to what a Manchester Tech or SaaS company would commission is the Smart PM Assistant Bot, built for an IT services company.

Automated meeting transcript capture and backlog creation in Azure DevOps with Fibonacci story point assignment and sprint capacity tracking
Real-time Power BI sprint velocity dashboards replacing manual meeting note capture and task allocation
That agent connects Azure AI Foundry, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Teams, Fireflies.ai, and Microsoft Graph API to automate meeting transcript capture, create backlog items with Fibonacci story point assignment, and generate real-time Power BI sprint velocity dashboards. It replaced manual note-taking and task allocation entirely for the client's project management team. The architecture pattern (multi-tool agent with structured output routed through HITL checkpoints) applies directly to workflow automation in Manchester's Tech sector.
We also built the Melegacy AI Investment Chatbot using Microsoft Copilot Studio and the Nasdaq API, delivering ML-powered stock predictions and legacy planning in a single agent. That is not Manufacturing or Media, but it demonstrates our range on Microsoft's AI stack and our ability to ship agents that process real-world data under compliance constraints.
We quote in USD. Engagements for Manchester businesses typically run $15,000 to $85,000 depending on scope:
UK GDPR compliance documentation adds 15 to 25 percent to scope. Each non-trivial system integration (ERP, CRM, legacy databases) adds $3,000 to $12,000. A production-grade evaluation harness adds $5,000 to $15,000. See our AI agent development pricing page for a full breakdown. We quote in USD and your finance team handles the GBP conversion at current rates.
Three steps from first contact to project start:
Yes. All our UK client work is remote. Engineers are available 9am to 1pm GMT each weekday, which covers your morning decision-making window. We use Microsoft Teams for daily communication, Azure DevOps for sprint tracking, and GitHub for code review. We do not have a Manchester office, and our clients have not found that to be a barrier when documentation and communication cadence are handled properly from day one.
On data residency: we configure Azure deployments to run in UK South or UK West data centres where required, which satisfies UK GDPR data residency expectations without special contractual arrangements. The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology maintains UK AI governance guidance that we follow alongside ICO compliance requirements throughout each engagement.
