QServices provides azure cloud migration to London businesses in FinTech, Insurance, Legal, and Media on fully remote engagements. We are not headquartered in London, but our India-based engineering team works with GMT morning overlap, giving London clients a consistent shared working window each day. QServices is a remote-first software consultancy and Microsoft Solutions Partner serving UK businesses in regulated industries on Azure.
London's financial services sector carries specific technical obligations that a cloud migration must account for from the start. The FCA and PRA both expect firms to demonstrate operational resilience, with documented recovery time objectives, network segmentation, and access controls in cloud environments. UK GDPR adds data residency and breach notification obligations on top of that. These requirements shape how a migration is scoped, not just what is being moved.
A common pitfall across all four sectors is treating migration as a pure infrastructure move. Doing a lift-and-shift without reviewing auth, secrets handling, and egress architecture typically produces both a compliance gap and a higher Azure bill than projected. We scope the work around the outcome and the regulatory environment, not just the destination.
Our engineering team is based in India on IST, which is GMT+5:30. When London opens at 9am GMT, our team is at 2:30pm IST. We schedule the primary daily standup between 9am and 11am GMT, which falls in our afternoon working window. That means no unusual hours on either side and a reliable daily slot for code reviews, architecture decisions, and blockers.
Communication runs on Microsoft Teams or Slack. We send a written weekly status update each Friday covering what shipped, what is blocked, and what is next. Code reviews happen on GitHub or Azure DevOps with comments turned around within the same business day during overlap hours. We do not have a London office, but we are available for on-site milestone visits for larger engagements on request.
For engagements in FCA or PRA-regulated environments, our HITL (Human-in-the-Loop) governance model requires a named client sign-off before any production change that touches access controls, encryption configuration, or data residency settings. This is a scheduled checkpoint with a specific named reviewer on the client side before our team executes, not a checkbox process.
We do not have a published London case study. The two projects below are our closest work by industry and technical scope.
For SomBank, an Islamic bank in Somalia, we built a mobile payment platform on React Native, .NET, Azure Service Bus, Azure B2C, and Azure Key Vault. The Azure architecture, identity management, and encrypted key handling in that project maps directly to what FCA-regulated FinTech firms in London require from an Azure migration. The platform reached 100,000+ downloads with a 4.8-star rating on launch.

For Ergonnex, an IT project management SaaS startup, we built the full product on Azure including React 18, Next.js, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL, with real-time dashboards and AI-driven planning features. This is relevant for London media and professional services firms evaluating Azure as the base for data-intensive or AI-adjacent workloads.

Azure cloud migration engagements run between $15,000 and $150,000 depending on scope, the number of systems in play, and whether compliance documentation is in scope. Pricing is in USD. At current exchange rates, $15,000 is roughly £12,000, but we do not invoice in GBP.
For engagements with FCA, PRA, or UK GDPR compliance scope, add 15–25% to the base estimate. Each non-trivial third-party system integration adds $3,000–$12,000. See our full Azure cloud migration cost guide for a detailed breakdown.
We run a three-step intake to move from first contact to a signed scope quickly:
Yes. We do not have a London office, and we are not planning to open one. All London engagements run fully remotely. The 5.5-hour time difference between London (GMT) and our India team (IST) closes in practice because we schedule overlap during GMT morning hours. For clients under FCA or PRA supervision, we configure Azure deployments to use the UK South or UK West regions to keep data within the UK, satisfying UK GDPR Article 44 cross-border transfer restrictions. All architecture decisions and change approvals are documented and available for audit.
The FCA publishes its operational resilience requirements for cloud deployments at fca.org.uk. The ICO's UK GDPR guidance for organisations is at ico.org.uk. If you are evaluating cloud migration for your FinTech or financial services platform, both documents are worth reviewing before scoping begins.
