QServices provides AI governance consulting to Seattle businesses. We are not headquartered in Seattle, but we serve Washington State clients in Tech, Cloud, Aerospace, and Retail on remote engagements with roughly 3 hours of daily Pacific Time overlap. QServices is a Microsoft Solutions Partner and remote-first consultancy built around AI delivery with built-in governance.
Seattle's economy includes companies that deploy AI at significant scale: cloud platform teams, enterprise software firms, Boeing's aerospace engineering division, and retail operations running recommendation and logistics models. Governance requirements differ by sector, but the failure modes tend to be the same.
Typical project types we see from Washington State clients:
The Washington My Health My Data Act is not HIPAA. It applies to any business collecting or sharing consumer health data with Washington residents, regardless of whether you are a covered HIPAA entity. If your AI product touches health signals, that regulation applies directly to your governance design, and your policy framework needs to address it explicitly.
Seattle runs on Pacific Time. Our engineering team is in India (IST, UTC+5:30). The timezone math: 8 AM PDT is 8:30 PM IST in summer, and 8 AM PST is 9:30 PM IST in winter. We adjust our working day so our leads and senior engineers are available from 8 AM to 11 AM PT for standups, design reviews, and demos. That is roughly 3 hours of live daily overlap, and we are honest that it requires our team to work late evenings.
Our engagement rhythm for Seattle clients:
Governance work benefits from weekly review cycles because the policy framework evolves as we work through your system's edge cases. We do not hand over a completed document at week 12. You see drafts from week 2, respond to them, and the framework is approved incrementally.
We default to Microsoft Teams for client communication. Many Seattle clients work inside Microsoft 365 environments, which reduces onboarding friction on the collaboration side.
We do not have published case studies from Seattle-based clients. We will say that directly rather than suggesting otherwise. Our AI governance work has been done for clients in FinTech, Healthcare IT, and enterprise software, sectors that operate under compliance environments comparable to Seattle's regulated Tech and Aerospace industries.
The governance patterns are consistent across domains. HITL design for a financial compliance workflow and HITL design for an aerospace quality inspection decision solve the same core problem: a human needs to be able to review, override, and be held accountable for what the AI decided. The domain vocabulary differs; the architecture and audit requirements do not.
The three failure modes we see most often in governance engagements, regardless of industry: treating governance as a documentation exercise rather than an operational practice, designing HITL checkpoints that humans cannot realistically keep up with at volume, and deploying without drift monitoring. We address all three as part of every standard engagement.
A typical engagement delivers a policy framework document, a working HITL implementation in your stack, an evaluation harness on Azure AI Foundry, and an audit log design that survives a real compliance review. See the AI Governance Consulting pricing page for what is included at each scope tier.
Our AI governance engagements for Seattle clients run from $15,000 to $90,000 USD, with most projects in the $25,000 to $60,000 range. All pricing is in USD.
Typical scope brackets:
If your scope includes Washington My Health My Data Act compliance obligations, add 15 to 25 percent for regulatory overhead. Third-party compliance review adds $5,000 to $20,000 on top of the base engagement cost.
Three steps:
Yes. QServices is fully remote and has been since 2010. We do not have a Seattle office or a US-based legal entity. Our Seattle clients engage our India-based team under a remote delivery model with 3 hours of daily PT overlap.
For data residency: all data processing and storage runs in Azure regions you specify. If your obligations under Washington My Health My Data Act or your internal data governance policies require US-West Azure regions, we configure the engagement architecture accordingly from the start. Client data is not stored in India.
For clients who need periodic in-person contact, we can arrange on-site visits to Seattle for major milestone reviews on engagements of $40,000 or more. Travel costs are billed at cost.
