QServices is not based in Dublin, but we work with Dublin clients in FinTech, Tech, and Pharma on remote mobile app development engagements, with four to five hours of GMT morning overlap daily. We are a remote-first software consultancy serving Irish businesses on iOS, Android, and cross-platform projects.

What Dublin buyers typically need from mobile app development

Dublin's three main industry clusters each bring distinct mobile requirements:

Across all three, Ireland's Data Protection Commission enforces GDPR and has issued substantial fines for non-compliance. Any app handling personal data needs a lawful basis, proper consent flows, and a documented data processing record before launch.

How we work with Dublin clients

India Standard Time (IST) runs five and a half hours ahead of GMT. That means our engineering team is available from 9 AM to approximately 1 PM Dublin time each working day. That four-to-five-hour window covers a full Dublin morning for meetings, sprint planning, code reviews, and design walkthroughs.

Our standard cadence: an async update is posted before 9 AM Dublin time each morning so stakeholders can read it before their day starts. Fortnightly sprint demos are scheduled at 10 AM or 11 AM Dublin time. Code lives in a shared GitHub repository and design decisions in a shared Figma workspace. We default to Slack or Microsoft Teams depending on what the client already uses.

We do not have a Dublin office. For large engagements we can arrange an on-site visit for kickoff or major milestone reviews, billed at cost. Most clients have not needed this, but the option is available.

Relevant work in similar markets

We have not delivered a mobile app for an Irish company. We want to be clear about that. What we have built are production FinTech mobile apps for regulated financial institutions, which is the work most directly relevant to Dublin's dominant industry.

For an Islamic bank in Somalia, we built a mobile payment platform on React Native that reached 100,000 downloads with a 4.8-star rating on launch day. The app introduced peer-to-peer transfers, merchant QR payments, and international remittances to a cash-based economy. Azure B2C handled identity, Azure Key Vault managed secrets, and an Ocelot API Gateway fronted the .NET backend. The compliance and security architecture required for that regulated financial institution shares meaningful overlap with what a CBI-authorised FinTech in Dublin would require.

We also built Chikwama, a digital wallet with real-time SignalR transaction updates and QR code merchant payments for a second emerging-market FinTech client. Both projects are detailed in our services portfolio.

What mobile app development costs for a typical Dublin project

Our engagements are priced in USD. The total range for a mobile app project is $35,000 to $200,000. Dublin projects regularly add a GDPR compliance overhead of 15 to 25 percent for consent architecture, data processing documentation, and privacy-by-design review with your legal team.

Each non-trivial integration with an external system, such as a core banking API, typically adds $3,000 to $12,000. See our mobile app development pricing guide for a full breakdown.

How to start working with us

Three steps: a 45-minute discovery call to discuss your target platform, user persona, timeline, and compliance requirements; a written scoping document delivered within five business days with a fixed-price or time-and-materials estimate; and project start within two weeks of agreement. There is no retainer or upfront fee at the scoping stage.

Can you work with Dublin companies remotely?

Yes. All our engagements are remote. Dublin clients work with us through a structured overlap window: our team is reachable from 9 AM to approximately 1 PM Dublin time, which maps to 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM IST. Outside that window, async communication in Slack or Teams covers anything that does not need a live discussion.

On data residency: we sign a Data Processing Agreement before development starts and build GDPR consent flows, data minimisation, and user deletion rights into the app architecture from the outset. Code and user data live in Azure EU regions unless the client specifies otherwise. For CBI-regulated FinTech apps, we design authentication and transaction flows to meet the applicable regulatory framework and recommend engaging an Irish data protection or regulatory counsel for formal compliance sign-off.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have an office in Dublin? +
No. QServices is a remote-first consultancy based in India. We work with Dublin clients through a structured remote engagement with four to five hours of overlap daily between Dublin's morning (GMT) and our afternoon (IST). Most clients run sprint demos and code reviews in that window without needing on-site presence.
What is the time difference between Dublin and your team? +
India Standard Time (IST) is five and a half hours ahead of GMT. Dublin's 9 AM to 1 PM covers our 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM IST. During British Summer Time (April to October), Dublin moves to GMT+1, reducing overlap slightly to roughly 9 AM to 12:30 PM Dublin time.
Have you worked with companies in Ireland before? +
Not yet. Our closest relevant work is a FinTech mobile payment platform for a regulated Islamic bank that reached 100,000 downloads with a 4.8-star rating on launch. The compliance and security architecture in that project aligns with what CBI-regulated FinTech companies in Dublin require.
How do you handle GDPR and Central Bank of Ireland requirements? +
We sign a Data Processing Agreement before development begins and build consent flows, data minimisation, and user deletion rights into the app from the start. For CBI-regulated apps, we design authentication and transaction flows to the applicable framework. We recommend engaging an Irish data protection or regulatory counsel for formal compliance sign-off.
What industries do you serve in the Dublin market? +
FinTech, Tech, and Pharma, which align with Dublin's primary sectors. FinTech is the strongest fit given our mobile payment case studies. Pharma apps require GDPR Article 9 handling for health data. We have not yet served a Dublin Pharma company, but the technical requirements align with our data-sensitive project work.
